KakuHida: Sleepless

I’m Hidan, the immortal Jashinist from the Akatsuki. For the past week I have been having nightmares that are scary as hell. And to top it off, they are the ones that keep requiring, every time I try to sleep. I can’t even sleep! For Jashin Sake! These nightmares are the worst I ever had! I don’t even want to talk in detail about them, let’s just say they made me not want to be immortal anymore.
I lay on the bed, looking at the ceiling with tired eyes. I want to sleep, but those nightmares won’t let me. I’m so Jashin-damned tired I can’t see straight.
After another night of not being able to sleep, Kakuzu came in our room.
“Hidan get ready, we are going on a bounty mission. One that is worth 5 billion! It is across the word” Kakuzu said and I stared at him in disbelieve. I can’t believe him! That bastard; he knew I haven’t slept in the past two weeks, and he expects me to go on a mission across the world!?
“No arguments we’re going!” Kakuzu said and I sighed. I knew I couldn’t win when it comes to arguing with Kakuzu and I was too tired to, and I didn’t eve try. I was forced to go, as tired as I am, this sucks.
Maybe getting out and away from the base will be good, getting away from those nightmares… but I still can’t believe Kakuzu made me go.
We left the base and started on an at least 4 day trip to the other side of the world. An hour has passed and already my tiredness stated to take its toll. I looked up at Kakuzu who was ahead of me and I sighed.
“Kakuzu? Can we take a break?” I asked and knew it was pointless in asking the greediest man in the universe, but I had to try. Kakuzu looked at and turned and glared at me
“Only an hour? That’s a new record” Kakuzu said and rolled his eyes and I glared back
“So what? I’m tired” I said and Kakuzu sighed in annoyance
“Fine, we will stop half way, but we will have to keep going till then. And you can’t argue or complain till then, or no deal” Kakuzu said and turned around. My eyes widened. That was at least a 2 day trip to the half way mark, running non stop. I hate him so much.
“B-but…” I started
“What did I say; do you want to go the whole way without stopping at all?” Kakuzu asked
“No…” I mumbled
“Then don’t complain!” Kakuzu said and I didn’t say anything, I was tired, so tired that I couldn’t even complain nor argue. I can’t believe that I have to run for two days, depending on how fast you run, strait. No stopping either!
One hour had passed, running with Kakuzu, and I sighed and my partner looked back at me
“”What’s wrong?” Kakuzu asked irritated and I rolled my eyes
“What do you think?” I snapped back and Kakuzu shook his head irritated
“Just keep going and don’t complain” Kakuzu said in a serious tone. I glared at him angrily, and sighed as all the anger washed away. I’m too tired to even hold a grudge? This sucks
In another hour, or so, my speed has dropped a great amount, even if I tried to stay with the speed Kakuzu is going, but I couldn’t. My body wouldn’t let me; it was slowing down knowing how tired it was. Then I realized that I was at least 100ft away from my partner. Kakuzu looks back to notice that I’m lacking behind and was mad.
“Hidan hurry the hell up!” Kakuzu yelled and I looked at him, rubbing my sleepy eyes and yawning.
“F-fine” I said tiredly, my eyes began to hurt as I tried my best to get up to Kakuzu’s speed. I still couldn’t match the speed, and I felt dizzy
“Ka-ku-zu c-can we please take a break?” I asked and Kakuzu sighed
“What did I say? I said no complaining!” Kakuzu said in gritted teeth and I sighed
“K-Kakuzu! I’m so Jashin-damned tired! Come on please?” I asked, more like begged, and Kakuzu sighed
“Fine…” Kakuzu said and I had wide eyes then smiled
“Th-Thanks ‘Kuzu” I said softly, shocking Kakuzu. Kakuzu always knows that I am really excited and extremely hyper when it comes to getting my way, but this time I’m too worn out.
When we stopped we set up a tent. I didn’t even complain; at least I could get sleep…maybe.
That night Kakuzu went to sleep, soon I did too, but unlike Kakuzu I woke up after minutes of sleep. Jashin-damn those dream. Every time I tried to fall asleep those dreams, more like nightmares, come over and over. I can’t take it. I tried over and over to fall asleep again, but I couldn’t.
I was about to curse, when I saw the sun had been visible. It was morning, and I couldn’t sleep once! This is getting really annoying… I turned to see Kakuzu, who just woke up
“Hidan? Let’s go now” Kakuzu said and I looked at him with tiredness and nodded. Even if I didn’t sleep, and I was tired, Kakuzu did agree to rest, I’m happy for that. Kakuzu and I packed everything up and left. Kakuzu and I ran into the bounty, hours after leaving our campsite. I was tired and nervous when the bounty sent body guards to protect him. I tried my best to not make us fail the mission, by not keeping focus. Once the body guards were gone, I sighed in relief. I had my guard down and the bounty pushed me near the edge of a cliff and I lost balance, and almost fell off the cliff but I caught the edge of the cliff. I was holding on, but I knew I was slipping. I was struggling to keep up. I saw Kakuzu glare at me and I sighed, because I knew right after I was pushed, the bounty ran away. I tried to pull myself up, but I couldn’t, and then I slowly closed my eyes, all the energy gone. My body stopped acting, and slowly started slipping off the edge of the cliff. Once I completely let go of the cliff, I felt someone grab my arm, and I looked at him. It was Kakuzu, who was glaring at me.
“You made the bounty get away” Kakuzu said coldly and pulled me up. I sighed and sat down. It wasn’t really my fault.  I sighed again and held my body up by my elbows and also from Kakuzu growling facing the other way I was at. I glared at him
“Kakuzu…” I said through gritted teeth
“What? Don’t talk to me, you messed up. The bounty got away because of you.” Kakuzu said and I sighed and yawned
“I-It wasn’t my fault” I said tiredly
“Then who’s fault was it!?” He yelled and I looked down
“I was tired” I said and Kakuzu looked at me if I was the most stupid person in the world
“Don’t be stupid, you got sleep a few hours ago” Kakuzu said and I smiled tiredly and slowly shook my head and yawned and rubbed my eyes.
“I couldn’t get any sleep in the past couple of weeks” I said and Kakuzu looked at me, now remembering that I had said something about having a sleeping problem. Kakuzu sat next to me
“Why?”
“I had recurring nightmares every time I try to sleep. They are as scary as hell; I don’t even want to talk about it. I can’t sleep…” I said and Kakuzu sighed and hugged me
“Hidan, I’m sorry I was mad, and forced you on this mission, I—” Kakuzu started and I smiled
“’Kuzu…don’t be…” I said slowly shut my eyes and fell to sleep in Kakuzu’s arms. Luckily none of those Jashin-damned nightmares to force me awake.
I fully woke up later, I didn’t know how long I was sleeping, but it had to be long, I don’t feel tired anymore. I turned and saw Kakuzu
“Kakuzu?” I asked and he looked at me and walked over
“Hidan, man you were tired” Kakuzu said and I was slightly shocked.
“Where are we and how long did I sleep for?” I asked
“Well, we are back at the base, and you slept for 3 and a half days” Kakuzu said and I smiled and stretched and yawned
“It felt good” I said and looked at Kakuzu “What about the bounty?”
Kakuzu sighed “Well he still hasn’t been caught yet”
I sighed and mouthed the word ‘sorry’ and Kakuzu smiled and gently rubble my cheek
“Don’t worry about it, your health is better than some bounty, I’m sorry” Kakuzu said and I smiled and gently pushed closer to his touch.
“Thanks ‘Kuzu”

Aftermath:
“I have to talk to Leader-sama” I said and Kakuzu nodded
“Ok” Kakuzu said
I left our shared room and went to Pein’s office. I knocked on the door
“Come in” Pein said and I did
“What do you want?” Pein asked
“I need a mission, alone. The mission me and Kakuzu failed a few days ago” I said “can I?”
Pein looked at me and shrugged
“I guess so, but may I ask why?” Pein asked and I smiled
“I want to get the bounty for ‘Kuzu” I said “And please don’t tell anyone, please? It is a surprise”
“Ok” Pein said and blushed at when I called Kakuzu ‘Kuzu and I chuckled at that
“Thanks Leader-sama”
“No problem” He said and I left his office and went back to my room
“Kakuzu, I have a mission alone, so I’ll see you later” I said and Kakuzu was shocked and just nodded. I left on the mission and in five days later I returned to the Akatsuki base and went into my room
“Hidan, where were you?” Kakuzu asked
“On the mission” I said
“Yeah, but where?” He asked and I smiled
“Close your eyes” I said and Kakuzu did as told, but was confused and I smirked
“Hold out your hands” I said and he did and I put the money from the bounty in his hands
“Ok, you can open” I said and Kakuzu opened his eyes and looked at me and then down to his hands. I smirked as I saw Kakuzu’s eyes widen
“H-Hidan, i-is this—?” Kakuzu started
“The five billion bounty money? Yeah it is” I said and smiled and Kakuzu smiled and put the money on the desk and wrapped his arms around me.
“H-Hidan you didn’t have to” He said
“But I wanted to” I said and pecked his lips
“I love you Hidan” Kakuzu said and I grinned
“Lave ya too ‘Kuzu” I said pulling Kakuzu into a passionate filled kiss.
